Crowds attended the Harvest time Big Apple events with attractions and activities for all the family. Everything from the extraordinarily talented Ukulele Band called "Uke can't be serious" who played everything from country and western, Queen, Rock, Beatles, easy listening and popular! There was Ryland Rare breed sheep racing! Spinning wool from Alpacas, cider tasting (and flagons for sale!), Japanese painting, DNA testing on apples! Old milking machinery and an apple press, and out in force were the Ledbury, Newent and other cycle groups the Dymock Poets Society, great fun at all the venues including Woodredding, Hellens Manor, Greg's pit, and visitors were keen to see Jock the steer at Anwell's Farm (who was presented to HM the Queen 5 years ago! There was a 4-day old calf and it was Farmer, David Powell, who supplied the beast for the Ledbury Ox Roast 5 years ago! The flowers and orchards looked wonderful, as did the scenery, with the autumnal colours. Dogs (and bears) were welcomed, and the tractor ride was convenient and popular! A wonderful day out! Thanks to David, Paul and all the others for annually organising this showcase event.
